On Thursday, March 11th, we had the pleasure of taking part in an AMA hosted by Chainlink. During the AMA, our very own Lead Blockchain Expert Michal Szachno shared details of how we will utilize Chainlink, our road map, and more. A special thanks to Marc and the Chainlink team for hosting us!

Here is the transcript from the AMA:

Marc:

Thanks @szachnom for joining us, tell me a little bit about what you guys are building.

Michał Szachno:

Hello, Glad to be here! My name is Michal and I am co-founder and Lead Blockchain Expert at VAIOT. Pleasure to meet you :) Sure, I will quickly cover that topic.

First of all, VAIOT is delivering a portfolio of blockchain-based AI Assistants around its 3 business/product lines, for both consumers and businesses, that are supported with a token economy. With our first AI Sales and Customer Service Assistant being now at beta stage (beta testing available) we already secured our first commercial client — a big retail shop network in Belgium that will use our Assistant as a Voice Commerce solution; and the AI Legal Assistant delivering both traditional and blockchain-based contracts being our ultimate goal.

Marc:

Very interesting. How are you planning on using Chainlink?

Michał Szachno

When it comes to our cooperation there is a lot to cover. I will stick to the main points to keep it simple :)

VAIOT plans to integrate Chainlink solutions in its Intelligent Contracts #DeLa solution as well as in the Payback Program being a loyalty program for VAIOT users. Chainlink Price Feeds will also enable users to pay in various crypto and fiat currencies when accessing VAIOT services like fully-automated insurance contracts that leverage blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

Marc:

What makes you guys unique in this space?

Michał Szachno:

We believe that our main USP is the Intelligent Assistance and innovative voice user interface bringing the Blockchain technology and its use cases to the masses. We bet on blockchain enhancement with the AI which lets us create more sophisticated and automated products like Legal Assistant creating Intelligent Contracts.

Marc:

Very Cool. I’m just curious. What’s the meaning of your name — VAIOT? @szachnom

Michał Szachno

Of course, we wanted to have the “AI” in the name so we knew that it should be there :) As the name ends with “IOT”, the initial vision of the project included the solution for the internet of things but as the concept evolved and clarified we no longer have that much interest in iot as we did while creating the name for the project.

Rory:

What are the challenges you see in being blockchain to the masses? Is it UX, a basic understanding of the technology, or something else?

Michał Szachno:

I personally think that the UX of the blockchain applications improved a lot lately- it is a good sign. What I mean by overcoming that challenge is that often there is not that much interest in the technology itself but rather a cool product that is being delivered. In our case, user talking with Siri-like assistant have no need to worry about technical as long as they don’t want to do that

Marc:

What is next on your product roadmap, what are you currently focusing on?

Michał Szachno:

For the short term, we have planned the full release of our 1st Business Line product being Intelligent Service Distribution Channel. As we already got the pilot implementation we are working hard to finalize that part of the project.

To finish that we are in the Public Beta testing phase of our app where users can get “hands-on” experience of VAIOT

All of the relevant remarks from users will be included in the final release :)

Marc:

Thanks Michal. I was viewing your video and it’s a great project:

Where can the audience follow your progress and ask questions?

Michał Szachno:

Yes this is a really informative explainer of VAIOT in general. On our website www.vaiot.ai you can also check one representing the use of the app itself

Marc:

Last question from me. As a Spanish person, does your Assistant allow languages other than English?

Michał Szachno:

That is a great question. The core of VAIOT Assistant is built with English but it can be easily adapted to almost any language- especially Spanish as the translation module between English and Spanish is probably the best one. As an example, before mentioned pilot implementation will be done in Belgium so that will be a real example and the test for us if it really is as seamless as we indicate it to be : )

Marc:

Sounds great! Thank you very much Michal for joining us. I think that VAIOT is a great Project that will succeed.

Michał Szachno:

Yes, indeed. Thanks a lot for having me here. Looking forward to our cooperation!
