Welcome to our bi-weekly Tech Updates, where we share insights into the Easy Contracts’ solution development progress.

Here, you will find out what our development team is focusing on in the current sprint, and what has been done in the previous one. You will also get to know what functionalities and features are planned to be implemented by our Development Team and what we consider as priorities in the AI Legal Assistant work progress.

Last Development Sprint

Last Friday we have completed another sprint of the AI Legal Assistant development. In case you’re curious about what our devs were working on, here comes an overview of the modules and functionalities developed:

Document Preview Option

In the last development sprint, our dev team was enhancing the document preview option. This module allows users to see the preview of the document they created in the Easy Contracts application. Such preview is available at any time of the contract negotiation process. For safety reasons, the application doesn’t preview the document as a whole, only some parts which are presented to the user separetly, which disables downloading or coping the document and prevents from the illicit use.

GUI Adjustments

The changes made in GUI reflect recently implemented functionalities of the Easy Contract application — agreement preview option. New enhancements allow users to have smooth interaction with the Assistant. Our team worked hard to adjust the application’s appearance to ensure a great experience using the AI Legal Assistant.

So what is it going to happen in the current sprint of Easy Contracts development?

Document Preview Placeholder

In the current sprint, VAIOT Development Team is fixing the bugs identified as part of internal testing to upgrade the PDF agreement preview module. This includes adding a mechanism that will enable users to see the document’s preview only after some of the agreement’s fields have been filled out (critical input threshold passed). The user will see a placeholder notifying them that the preview won’t be available until after starting the negotiation with the AI Legal Assistant providing the first information necessary for the contract creation.

Payment Integration

We are also finalizing the FIAT (card) payment mechanism in the Easy Contracts application. The payment for the services offered by the VAIOT’s intelligent channel has to be done to allow the user to download the PDF contract prepared through negotiation with the AI Assistant. Such payment is available at any time, even during the conversation with the Assistant before finalizing the document creation process. VAIOT will allow two types of payments, the one that is being developed now is the traditional card payment for all users. Card payments will be also included in the VAI Payback mechanism and will allow users to get some VAI returns from the transaction.

Contract conditions digitized in a smart contract

As part of the contract negotiations, users provide the AI Assistant with a set of terms and requirements to be inserted into the agreement. Those inputs will be then automatically (backend function) digitized and recorded as part of the smart contract generated to support the traditional version of the agreement. In the future, some of the contracts will be self-executable after a certain term of the agreement recorded in the smart contract is fulfilled (supported by oracle integration). Such fulfillment of contract terms will allow for an automatic release of the funds subject to the contract from Service Requester to Service Provider. Our Dev Team will start working on the foundation mechanisms for that function in the current sprint.
