How to Stake VAI: A Step-by-Step Guide

With a current annual percentage rate (APR) of 16.45%, staking VAI is an excellent way to get all the advantages in the VAIOT ecosystem (rewards, becoming a Juror from DDRS, discounts, payback) while supporting the project.

Now let’s get on with it!

Step 1: Acquire VAI Tokens

There are two main methods to acquire VAI:

Option A: Using SushiSwap

SushiSwap is a decentralized exchange that allows direct acquisition of VAI utility tokens on the Polygon network.

1. Ensure you have MetaMask installed and connected to the Polygon network.
2. Visit SushiSwap and connect your wallet.

3. In the top left corner make sure that you are connected to the Polygon Network.

4. Swap MATIC for VAI tokens. (If you have other tokens, swap them for MATIC first)

Option B: Using a Centralized Exchange

1. Visit a centralized exchange like KuCoin that lists VAI. A full list of VAI markets is available at: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/vaiot or https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/vaiot/

2. Acquire VAI tokens with your preferred currency.

3. Withdraw VAI to your wallet
Note: If you acquired VAI tokens on a centralized exchange, after withdrawing, you have to bridge your tokens to the Polygon Network.

If you need to transfer ETH to Polygon please follow this quick guide:

a) Go to https://portal.polygon.technology/

b) Select “Bridge” on the left hand side

c) Switch Polygon zkEVM to Polygon POS in “Transfer To” field

d) Connect you Wallet

e) Select VAI Token on the “Transfer From” Make sure you use the Ethereum in the “Transfer From”

f) Input the amount that you want to bridge, click the button to bridge and follow the instructions for further steps.

Metamask won’t automatically detect VAI tokens by default therefore, you need to import the token manually and this is how you can do it:

• Go to CoinMarketCap.com and find VAIOT (VAI)
• Under contracts, click more and then select “Add to MetaMask” For this, you’ll need the Desktop MetaMask extension. Verify the address copied from CMC.

• Shortly you should be able to see a pop up with the option to import VAI to your MetaMask wallet.

Now let’s go back to the staking procedure. Once you have acquired your VAI, you’ll be ready to stake.

Step 2: Access the Staking Platform

1. Visit stake.vaiot.ai (make sure the URL is: VAIOT Staking)

2. Once you enter stake.vaiot.ai you will see the landing page.

To get started, go to “VAI Staking” in the upper left corner of the screen.

3. Connect your MetaMask wallet

To stake, you need to connect your wallet. The current staking portal is available on the Polygon network.

Once you are connected to the Polygon network, and you have your Polygon-based VAI tokens, you can choose an option “Connect to a wallet”. A pop-up will appear in which you can select a wallet of your choice.

If the connection is successful, you should see your wallet address in the top right of the screen.

Step 3: Stake Your VAI Tokens

1. On our staking platform, please locate the “VAI Staking”.
2. Click “Deposit”

3. Enter the amount of VAI you wish to stake (up to 100,000 VAI per wallet).

4. Select “Approve”, your wallet provider will ask you for the spending cap (amount of VAI that you approve to be staked).

5. You’ll receive a pop up notification with the transaction details. Check if everything is correct and click “Confirm”.

That’s it!

You are now earning VAI, which you’ll be able to use as part of VAIOT’s Legal Tech solutions portfolio!

Step 4: Monitor Your Staking Rewards

Your staked balance and accumulated rewards will be clearly displayed on the staking page. The rewards update in real-time without needing to refresh the page.

After successfully staking VAI tokens, you are presented with multiple options of managing your position.

Withdrawing Your Tokens

There are three options for withdrawing:

1. Claim Rewards: Withdraw only your earned rewards without affecting your staked amount

2. Initialize Withdraw: Start a 7-day withdrawal process to avoid fees. After 7 days pass, you can revisit stake.vaiot.ai to withdraw your tokens completely.

3. Withdraw Immediately: Instantly withdraw your tokens with a 10% fee

Just choose the option that you prefer, select the amount, confirm the transaction in your wallet and you are all set as shown in the images below:

After clicking “Claim Rewards” you’ll be redirected to the page below where you can confirm the transaction.

(it’s variable and contingent on the total amount of VAI Tokens being staked by all stakers at a given moment; the amount of rewards in the pool is fixed for each month, the more VAIs are staked in total the less the APR; the less VAIs are staked in total the higher APR is)
